# The Leverage Map

Plot every scored task on one 2x2 grid and pick the five tasks where AI effort pays off first.

## What you need

- A completed Task Inventory Worksheet (hours per task)
- A scorecard result for every task (0–10)
- 30 minutes

## Step 1 — Set your dividing lines

- **Time line (vertical):** your median hours per week per task. Most people land between 1 and 3 hours. **My median: [#] hrs**
- **Suitability line (horizontal):** a score of 7.

## Step 2 — Draw and plot

```
 Suitability
 10 |  QUICK WINS         |  START HERE
    |  (batch later)      |  (your top 5)
  7 |---------------------+---------------------
    |  LEAVE IT           |  HUMAN EDGE
    |                     |  (protect this)
  0 +---------------------+--------------------- Hours/week
    0               [MY MEDIAN]             max
```

Plot each task as a dot labeled with its number from the inventory worksheet.

## Step 3 — Read the quadrants

- **START HERE** (high time, high suitability). Tasks that eat hours and fit AI. These become your workflows in Stage 3.
- **QUICK WINS** (low time, high suitability). Worth doing, small payoff each. Batch several into one session later.
- **HUMAN EDGE** (high time, low suitability). Court appearances, classrooms, client calls, care work. Do not force AI here. The goal of everything else is to protect and grow these hours.
- **LEAVE IT** (low time, low suitability). Ignore for now.

## Step 4 — Pick your top five

From START HERE, rank by hours per week. If the quadrant holds fewer than five tasks, pull the highest scorers from QUICK WINS.

| Rank | Task | Hrs/week | Score |
|------|------|----------|-------|
| 1 | [TASK] | [#] | [#] |
| 2 | [TASK] | [#] | [#] |
| 3 | [TASK] | [#] | [#] |
| 4 | [TASK] | [#] | [#] |
| 5 | [TASK] | [#] | [#] |

**Total hours in my top five: [#] per week.**

## A realistic expectation

Do not expect to erase those hours. A well-built workflow typically cuts a language-heavy task by a third to a half, after a few weeks of practice — and some attempts will not work at all. If your top five total 15 hours, a fair 90-day target is getting 5 of them back.

## What's next

Carry this list into Stage 2 (Demystify). You will learn how the tools handle these five tasks — including where they fail.
