Start with the idea
Choose a learning path that fits the skills you can show.
Start with what you can already do, not the title you want. Choose practice that addresses your next gap. Describe course activity honestly without claiming a qualification it did not award.
Skill evidence: Work that shows what you did and under what conditions.
See the example and check your understanding
A made-up teaching example
Jordan watched six introductory lessons and saved one source check. That supports a statement about introductory study and practice. It does not support “federally certified AI expert.”
Ask yourself
Does watching lessons prove independent coding ability?
Show the explanation
No. Coding needs its own evidence. Jordan should practice the current gap before moving to a software-building path.
Start with these checks
- Choose a path using demonstrated skills.
- Name the gap you will work on.
- Keep public claims within the evidence.
Use the different practice case below and check every requirement in its full instructions.

Before you start
Prerequisite: No prerequisites; start with the difference between reading and demonstrating. Offline/no-cost route: use paper, a notes editor and the invented facts below. Tools are optional and must already be authorized. No accounts, paid API calls, private workplace data or external actions are required.
What you will be able to do
- Distinguish participation, completion, assessed learning, certification, accreditation, and external recognition.
- Choose a learning pathway from present evidence and target work.
- Apply collaboration, disclosure, synthetic-data, and acceptable-use rules.
Part 1 Claims are levels of evidence
Participation records attendance. Completion records finishing required activities. Assessed learning adds observed work against criteria. Certification and accreditation involve defined issuing bodies and scopes; a framework crosswalk alone establishes neither. Write the narrowest claim your evidence supports. A learning contract states permitted data, allowed collaboration, disclosure of AI assistance, evidence retention and who resolves uncertainty. Synthetic data should be invented from scratch while retaining the reasoning problem; changing names in a real record is not enough. Placement selects instruction from demonstrated prerequisites; it cannot waive permissions or critical performance checks.
Part 2 Worked synthetic example
Jordan watched six introductory lessons and saved one source audit. “Federally certified AI expert” exceeds both records. “Completed six introductory lessons and practiced source verification on a fictional packet” is supported. Jordan can explain verification but cannot show independent coding; choose Operator practice, then a diagnostic before software-building material.
Part 3 Guided practice and feedback
Classify six claims: attended a session; completed required drills; passed a declared independent task; certified by an identified issuer; program accredited by a named accreditor; framework-aligned syllabus. Match them to attendance, completion, assessment, certification, accreditation and alignment respectively. Without the corresponding record, rewrite the claim as unestablished.
Review and next step
Self-review records practice; it is not independent assessment, certification or operational approval. Continue to O2 to check the exact data/tool scope before any upload.
