Two-hour workshop

Use AI on real work. Check what it gives you.

A skill briefing. Nothing to buy.

Try it first02

Which parts does the source back up?

Source R1

Riley coordinates six people processing 40 requests weekly at about 18 minutes per request. A two-week trial of AI-assisted request summaries is proposed. No trial has run; savings are unknown.

Draft

“Our 20-person team has reduced processing time by 40% with AI. The system is ready for rollout across the organization. We recommend immediate adoption.”

Supported · contradicted · unsupported. Fictional case from Foundations 01.

What it produces03

A fluent draft is not proof.

  • A language model generates text from patterns in its training and the context you give it.
  • It can work through a task and still be wrong.
  • A claim needs evidence: a source, a calculation or a test.
The rule under everything04

AI drafts. You verify. You own.

Your name goes on the work.

When AI is wrong05

Match the check to the failure.

  • No source behind a claim: find the source or cut the claim.
  • A misread source: open the exact passage.
  • A number: recompute it.
  • A current rule or rate: check a current official source.
The skill06

Prompt like an Operator.

Context

Who you are. What is going on.

Task

What you want produced.

Standards

Format, length, audience, what to avoid.

Evidence

Which facts it may use. What to do when support is missing.

Prompt 1

“Write a resume bullet for my logistics job.”

Prompt 2

“Using only the supplied fictional profile, write three active-voice bullets for a civilian supply-chain manager. Remove military jargon; use at most 25 words per bullet. Preserve all supplied figures and add no achievements.”

Tool demo07

Your record maps to civilian job titles.

Do a rep08

Now you.

  • Name one real task you will do this week.
  • Write the four-part prompt for it.
  • List what you would check before you use the result.
Next move09

One move tomorrow.

Take a task you would do anyway. Write the four-part prompt. Check the output against your source before you use it.
